When people ask "Where did you learn how to make biscuits?", typically you hear "From my grandmother" or "a passed down family recipe". But ME? I learned on the streets of New York. Yes, THE BIG APPLE!
In the Fall of 2018, I was one of (3) finalist for the Citi Urban Space Challenge. We were tasked with presenting a food concept we thought New Yorkers would like. My concept was Soulfull Sandwich: a sandwich shop that feeds your soul. My number 1 seller is a sandwich called the Hot Buttered Soul. It's a riff on a chicken sandwich and features the most butter drenched biscuit you'll ever have. During the contest, I personally made over 10,000 biscuits in 40 days and we did over 20,000 that winter.
Since then, I've been asked a million times for biscuit recipes and classes. And that’s when I decided to create The Soulfull Biscuit! Just call me the Bishop of Biscuits...Lol!
